Now that’s window shopping!

The window shopping example is a term that refers to the act of window-shopping. It can be done in person or online, and it is a fun way to spend time.

Every day on my way to work, I pass The Clothes Horse, a tiny women’s clothes shop. I’m constantly on the lookout. The outfits are stunning. Anne Hathaway, the owner and manager, understands this well. The owner of a normally modest business in an inconspicuous building has conquered her position by using a large picture window in front of her shop. Every evening when she departs, she redresses six life-size mannequins from head to toe. She claims it takes her approximately an hour after closure, although she attributes much of her business’s success to this. “After I opened, I observed that a large percentage of the female students that went by would glance up at the window,” Anne says, referring to the store’s proximity to the University of Oregon. That’s when I began doing my nightly laundry.” And it has resulted in a positive outcome. The Clothes Horse has been in business for 16 years and provides its owner with a very comfortable existence. Anne discovered a method to secure her position in Eugene’s retail scene without spending a penny in the come-and-go world of boutique stores. It only goes to show that creating a great marketing plan does not have to be difficult; it just has to be precise.
